A slightly overgrown private gravel road leads to the building site.

The Peak Road entrance to the private home site road is near a Barnard Hoyt School Historical marker,

     The Building site is unimpressive now -- a partially-cleared area in the the woods.  Its slightly sloped terrain makes it well-suited to a two-story cape or log cabin.  Some careful trimming will reveal excellent views of Burke Mountain to the East.  A trail lead North from the Building Site to the Cabin and Pond.  Another trail leads West from the building site leading to the VAST trail system.
