The property is a Tree Farm, working with state and local foresters for proper, regular harvesting, receiving tax benefits for maintaining its natural state. Trees include Red Maple, Sugar Maple, Balsam Fir, White Spruce, Cedar, White Pine, White Ash, Hemlock, Aspen, and White and Yellow Birch.
Mountain Ash Tree Farm features a rustic cabin, a large pond, streams, brooks, and acres of woodlands, accessible via ATV and hiking paths. There's also a Home Building Site with a private gravel road.
The Brandt family purchased the property in September 2000 and spent summers there in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005. The property was previously owned by John and Edith Young since the mid-1970s. Mr. Young harvested wood and built the cabin from logs on the land, with the pond dug over a natural spring. The Youngs lived in the cabin 4-5 months annually for over 25 years.
Wildlife abounds, including moose, deer, raccoons, hare, bear, fisher cats, and beaver.
